The Cummings Christian Church is an independent Christian Church located in Cummings Kansas. CCC had its beginnings when a Christian church was organized in the Kansas Territory by Free-Soiler preacher Pardee Butler in 1857.
This church was located in what later became the Town of Pardee. With the establishment of a railroad depot on the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Rail line in Cummings (Cummingsville, established 12/16/1872) this town began to grow rapidly. In 1909, the decision was made to relocate the Pardee Church to Cummings, some two miles away.
The first Service was held at Cummings on July 11th 1909. The Cummings Church building was completed in 1911. With the exception of a few years during World War II, the Church has held services continually at Cummings since 1911. There have been 36 Ministers that served the Church in this more-than-100 year history in Cummings including our current Minister who started Jan. 26, 2014.
CCC has added on to the Church Building three different times to accommodate growth and to provide opportunities for fellowship and community. We have a rich history and by God’s grace, we believe, a bright future!
